A rich heritage, brought to life.

Founded by the visionary George Smith in 1824, The Glenlivet became the first licensed distillery in the Livet valley. Translated from Gaelic, Glenlivet means ‘valley of the smooth-flowing one’ and since the beginning of the 19th Century, whisky from the Glenlivet valley was considered by many to be of exceptionally high quality.
Today The Glenlivet is No. 2 in the single malt category selling over 1 million 9L cases in 2017.
